The Network Research group in COOP develops solutions to connect underserved areas in the Global South to the Internet in a cost-effective and sustainable way. As a researcher, you will primarily help us to optimize our WiBACK solutions and to expand them for new fields of application or new transmission technologies. What you will do: - You will contribute to the further development of our radio-based WiBACK technology (feel free to have a look at it by visiting: http://wiback.org) - Develop ad-hoc 5G campus networks for first responders. - You will focus on our interfaces (UI) development, C++/Python programming as well as working with embedded/realtime systems - In the course of various projects, you will also work together with our research partners research partners from science and industry in a customer-oriented manner - You will also have the opportunity to occasionally present your research results at (inter)national trade fairs and conferences
